Garden Tearoom!
Yesterday's customers to the Garden Tearoom enjoyed the beautiful weather and had their drinks and cakes in the outdoor seating area
Bird Houses!
We finished painting our little birdhouses yesterday and we made the most of the warmer weather (while it's here!)
Singing Show!
Yesterday evening we enjoyed going on a "Summer Holiday" with The Entertainment Providers - a pantomime-style singing show which took us around the world with music throughout the past.
The residents sang along and had a good laugh using the pom-poms and hats with the lovely Jess.
Spring Art Project
Some of our lovely residents helping out with our Spring Art project yesterday afternoon we had some creating colour mixes for the butterfly stencils, some helping create the grass blades for the 3D display, and Eileen on the delicate job of peeling off and sticking down our dainty butterflies
Flower Arranging
We had a beautiful afternoon today arranging "Peggy's flowers".
We have some very talented florists amongst us and created a wide range of lovely bouquets!
We have stuck with the pub theme over the last two Fridays.
Our tried and tested Pub Afternoon last Friday, with some Shandy's and ciders, snacks and chit- chat, had us talking about all-sorts including Keith's fabulous party trick his Donald Duck impression!
Yesterday we enjoyed a pub quiz with our three teams, The Brainy Team, The Bosworth Boppers, and The Three Amigos, showing off their impressive knowledge.
Garden Tearoom
With the warmer weather coming in we're so pleased to have reopened our garden tearoom for the summer!
A nice relaxing place for our residents to enjoy a hot drink in a café-like environment!
Bird Feeders
This afternoon our ladies and gentlemen made some wonderful bird feeders using cones stuffed with seeds and fat balls, for our garden.
Tomorrow we will take part in the 'Big garden bird watch' helping to keep track of our beautiful British birds. Let's hope the birds find our feeders very tasty
The residents had a lovely day with Ruby
Research has shown that regular dog-assisted therapy for people in long-term care settings can help improve quality of life, well-being, reduce feelings of low mood and much more! Ruby is still in training to be a fully fledged therapy dog but she is already best-friends with many of our residents here at the home, and never fails to provide companionship and put a smile on their faces!
Thanks for your hard work Ruby and thank you to our wonderful manager Karen for always being open to a range of activities and ideas to create a loving home for our residents
Valentine's Day
Our residents got 'crafty' and made beautiful valentine's cards for their sweet hearts, and today Valentine's Day the cards were lovingly received
Happy Valentine's Day 🥰
Pancake Day
Before our lovely residents ate their delicious pancakes (thank you Jean) they had a 'flipping' good time
From all of us Happy Pancake Day 🍳
